ATLANTA–Happy Hanukkah! Tonight is the beginning the Jewish traditional festival of alternate spellings of the word Hanukkah, during which different spellings of the word are attempted each day.
Though Time Magazine attempted to disambiguate the many spellings back in 2011, some say that to choose a single spelling goes against the spirit of the holiday.
“I spell it with four Ms and a silent Q,” said Farles Wickens, celebrating Hammnukkmmaqh today. “But tomorrow I might go minimal with something like ‘Honuka.'”
