LAKELAND, FL–A multi-deity call center in Florida has its hands full this week checking incoming faith-based social media posts against actual prayers. While a significant number of posts contain implied prayer, responsibility falls to the call center to verify the corresponding traditional prayer before forwarding it to the deity corresponding to that person.
“We handle most major deities here, but we can’t just pass on a false prayer,” said Chad Morgan, Assistant Vice Day Manager. “We also don’t do best wishes. Those just float around somewhere. Not sure where, to be honest.”
